- Exodus 25:17
וְעָשִׂיתָ כַפֹּרֶת זָהָב טָהוֹר אַמָּתַיִם וָחֵצִי אׇרְכָּהּ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי רׇחְבָּהּ׃
You shall make a cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד כָּפוּרְתָּא דִּדְהַב דְּכֵי תַּרְתֵּין אַמִּין וּפַלְגָּא אוּרְכַּהּ וְאַמְּתָא וּפַלְגָּא פוּתְיַהּ׃
Make a cover of pure gold [for the ark], two and one-half amohs long, and one and one-half amohs wide.
- Exodus 25:18
וְעָשִׂיתָ שְׁנַיִם כְּרֻבִים זָהָב מִקְשָׁה תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם מִשְּׁנֵי קְצוֹת הַכַּפֹּרֶת׃
Make two cherubim of gold—make them of hammered work—at the two ends of the cover.
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד תְּרֵין כְּרוּבִין דִּדְהַב נְגִיד תַּעֲבֵיד יָתְהוֹן מִתְּרֵין סִטְרֵי כָּפוּרְתָּא׃
Make two golden cherubim. You must make them by hammering them out of the two ends of the [ark] cover.
- Exodus 25:19
וַעֲשֵׂה כְּרוּב אֶחָד מִקָּצָה מִזֶּה וּכְרוּב־אֶחָד מִקָּצָה מִזֶּה מִן־הַכַּפֹּרֶת תַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת־הַכְּרֻבִים עַל־שְׁנֵי קְצוֹתָיו׃
Make one cherub at one end and the other cherub at the other end; of one piece with the cover shall you make the cherubim at its two ends.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבֵיד כְּרוּבָא חַד מִסִּטְרָא מִכָּא וּכְרוּבָא חַד מִסִּטְרָא מִכָּא מִן כָּפוּרְתָּא תַּעְבְּדוּן יָת כְּרוּבַיָּא עַל תְּרֵין סִטְרוֹהִי׃
Make one cherub out of one end [side], and one cherub out of the other end [side]. From the [same piece of gold as] the cover itself, you shall make the cherubim on its two ends [sides].
- Exodus 25:20
וְהָיוּ הַכְּרֻבִים פֹּרְשֵׂי כְנָפַיִם לְמַעְלָה סֹכְכִים בְּכַנְפֵיהֶם עַל־הַכַּפֹּרֶת וּפְנֵיהֶם אִישׁ אֶל־אָחִיו אֶל־הַכַּפֹּרֶת יִהְיוּ פְּנֵי הַכְּרֻבִים׃
The cherubim shall have their wings spread out above, shielding the cover with their wings. They shall confront each other, the faces of the cherubim being turned toward the cover.
Targum Onkelos
וִיהוֹן כְּרוּבַיָּא פְרִיסִין גַּדְפֵּיהוֹן לְעֵילָא מְטַלַּן בְּגַדְפֵּיהוֹן עַל כָּפוּרְתָּא וְאַפֵּיהוֹן חַד לָקֳבֵיל חַד לָקֳבֵיל כָּפוּרְתָּא יְהוֹן אַפֵּי כְרוּבַיָּא׃
The cherubim shall spread their wings upward, sheltering the cover with their wings, and the cherubim shall face one another. Their faces shall be [inclined] toward the cover.
- Exodus 25:21
וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־הַכַּפֹּרֶת עַל־הָאָרֹן מִלְמָעְלָה וְאֶל־הָאָרֹן תִּתֵּן אֶת־הָעֵדֻת אֲשֶׁר אֶתֵּן אֵלֶיךָ׃
Place the cover on top of the Ark, after depositing inside the Ark the Pact that I will give you.
Targum Onkelos
וְתִתֵּין יָת כָּפוּרְתָּא עַל אֲרוֹנָא מִלְּעֵילָא וּבַאֲרוֹנָא תִּתֵּין יָת סָהֲדוּתָא דְּאֶתֵּין לָךְ׃
Place the cover on top of the ark and place the Testimony in the ark that I will give you.
- Exodus 25:22
וְנוֹעַדְתִּי לְךָ שָׁם וְדִבַּרְתִּי אִתְּךָ מֵעַל הַכַּפֹּרֶת מִבֵּין שְׁנֵי הַכְּרֻבִים אֲשֶׁר עַל־אֲרוֹן הָעֵדֻת אֵת כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר אֲצַוֶּה אוֹתְךָ אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
There I will meet with you, and I will impart to you—from above the cover, from between the two cherubim that are on top of the Ark of the Pact—all that I will command you concerning the Israelite people.
Targum Onkelos
וַאֲזָמֵין מֵימְרִי לָךְ תַּמָּן וַאֲמַלֵּיל עִמָּךְ מֵעִלָּוֵי כָּפוּרְתָּא מִבֵּין תְּרֵין כְּרוּבַיָּא דְּעַל אֲרוֹנָא דְּסָהֲדוּתָא יָת כָּל דַּאֲפַקֵּיד יָתָךְ לְוָת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
I will set [prepare] My meetings [Word] with you there, and I will speak with you from above the cover, from between the cherubim that are on the Ark of the Testimony. All that which I will command you concerning the B’nei Yisrael.
- Exodus 25:23
וְעָשִׂיתָ שֻׁלְחָן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים אַמָּתַיִם אׇרְכּוֹ וְאַמָּה רׇחְבּוֹ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי קֹמָתוֹ׃
You shall make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long, one cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד פָּתוּרָא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין תַּרְתֵּין אַמִּין אוּרְכֵּיהּ וְאַמְּתָא פוּתְיֵיהּ וְאַמְּתָא וּפַלְגָּא רוּמֵיהּ׃
You shall make a table out of acacia wood, two amohs will be its length, one amoh will be its width, and one and one-half amohs its height.
- Exodus 25:24
וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתוֹ זָהָב טָהוֹר וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב׃
Overlay it with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.
Targum Onkelos
וְתִחְפֵי יָתֵיהּ דְּהַב דְּכֵי וְתַעֲבֵיד לֵיהּ זִיר דִּדְהַב סְחוֹר סְחוֹר׃
Overlay it with pure gold, and make a gold crown-like rim around it.
- Exodus 25:25
וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ מִסְגֶּרֶת טֹפַח סָבִיב וְעָשִׂיתָ זֵר־זָהָב לְמִסְגַּרְתּוֹ סָבִיב׃
Make a rim of a hand’s breadth around it, and make a gold molding for its rim round about.
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד לֵיהּ גְּדָנְפָא רוּמֵיהּ פּוּשְׁכָּא סְחוֹר סְחוֹר וְתַעֲבֵיד זִיר דִּדְהַב לִגְדָנְפֵיהּ סְחוֹר סְחוֹר׃
Make a ledge of a tefach [high] around [the table], and make a gold crown-like rim around the ledge.
- Exodus 25:26
וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־הַטַּבָּעֹת עַל אַרְבַּע הַפֵּאֹת אֲשֶׁר לְאַרְבַּע רַגְלָיו׃
Make four gold rings for it, and attach the rings to the four corners at its four legs.
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד לֵיהּ אַרְבַּע עִזְקָן דִּדְהַב וְתִתֵּין יָת עִזְקָתָא עַל אַרְבַּע זָוְיָתָא דִּלְאַרְבַּע רַגְלוֹהִי׃
Make four gold rings [for the table], and place the rings on the four corners that are on its legs.
- Exodus 25:27
לְעֻמַּת הַמִּסְגֶּרֶת תִּהְיֶיןָ הַטַּבָּעֹת לְבָתִּים לְבַדִּים לָשֵׂאת אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן׃
The rings shall be next to the rim, as holders for poles to carry the table.
Targum Onkelos
לָקֳבֵיל גְּדָנְפָא יִהְוְיָן עִזְקָתָא אַתְרָא לַאֲרִיחַיָּא לְמִטַּל יָת פָּתוּרָא׃
The rings shall be against the ledge, and they shall be houses [receptacles] for the poles with which to carry the table.
- Exodus 25:28
וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת־הַבַּדִּים עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתָם זָהָב וְנִשָּׂא־בָם אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן׃
Make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold; by these the table shall be carried.
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד יָת אֲרִיחַיָּא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין וְתִחְפֵי יָתְהוֹן דַּהְבָּא וִיהוֹן נָטְלִין בְּהוֹן יָת פָּתוּרָא׃
Make the poles out of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. The table will be carried by them.
- Exodus 25:29
וְעָשִׂיתָ קְּעָרֹתָיו וְכַפֹּתָיו וּקְשׂוֹתָיו וּמְנַקִּיֹּתָיו אֲשֶׁר יֻסַּךְ בָּהֵן זָהָב טָהוֹר תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם׃
Make its bowls, ladles, jars and jugs with which to offer libations; make them of pure gold.
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד מְגִסּוֹהִי וּבָזִכּוֹהִי וְקָסְוָתֵיהּ וּמְכִילָתֵיהּ דְּיִתְנַסַּךְ בְּהוֹן דִּדְהַב דְּכֵי תַּעֲבֵיד יָתְהוֹן׃
Make its dishes [bread forms], spoons, its half-hollow tubes, and its supports, by which they [the breads] shall be covered. Make them out of pure gold.
- Exodus 25:30
וְנָתַתָּ עַל־הַשֻּׁלְחָן לֶחֶם פָּנִים לְפָנַי תָּמִיד׃
And on the table you shall set the bread of display, to be before Me always.
Targum Onkelos
וְתִתֵּין עַל פָּתוּרָא לְחֵים אַפַּיָּא קֳדָמַי תְּדִירָא׃
You shall place the showbread upon the table, before Me at all times.
- Exodus 25:31
וְעָשִׂיתָ מְנֹרַת זָהָב טָהוֹר מִקְשָׁה תֵּעָשֶׂה הַמְּנוֹרָה יְרֵכָהּ וְקָנָהּ גְּבִיעֶיהָ כַּפְתֹּרֶיהָ וּפְרָחֶיהָ מִמֶּנָּה יִהְיוּ׃
You shall make a lampstand of pure gold; the lampstand shall be made of hammered work; its base and its shaft, its cups, calyxes, and petals shall be of one piece.
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד מְנָרְתָא דִּדְהַב דְּכֵי נְגִיד תִּתְעֲבֵיד מְנָרְתָא שִׁדַּהּ וּקְנַהּ כַּלִּידַהָא חַזּוּרַהָא וְשׁוֹשַׁנַּהָא מִנַּהּ יְהוֹן׃
You shall make a menorah [out] of pure gold. The menorah must be made by hammering [its form out of a solid piece of gold]. Its base, its shaft, its cups, its knobs, and its flowers shall be of it [the same piece of gold].
- Exodus 25:32
וְשִׁשָּׁה קָנִים יֹצְאִים מִצִּדֶּיהָ שְׁלֹשָׁה ׀ קְנֵי מְנֹרָה מִצִּדָּהּ הָאֶחָד וּשְׁלֹשָׁה קְנֵי מְנֹרָה מִצִּדָּהּ הַשֵּׁנִי׃
Six branches shall issue from its sides; three branches from one side of the lampstand and three branches from the other side of the lampstand.
Targum Onkelos
וְשִׁתָּא קְנִין נָפְקִין מִסִּטְרַהָא תְּלָתָא קְנֵי מְנָרְתָא מִסִּטְרַהּ חַד וּתְלָתָא קְנֵי מְנָרְתָא מִסִּטְרַהּ תִּנְיָנָא׃
Six branches shall extend from its sides, three branches of the menorah from one of its sides, and three branches of the menorah from the second side.
- Exodus 25:33
שְׁלֹשָׁה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים בַּקָּנֶה הָאֶחָד כַּפְתֹּר וָפֶרַח וּשְׁלֹשָׁה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים בַּקָּנֶה הָאֶחָד כַּפְתֹּר וָפָרַח כֵּן לְשֵׁשֶׁת הַקָּנִים הַיֹּצְאִים מִן־הַמְּנֹרָה׃
On one branch there shall be three cups shaped like almond-blossoms, each with calyx and petals, and on the next branch there shall be three cups shaped like almond-blossoms, each with calyx and petals; so for all six branches issuing from the lampstand.
Targum Onkelos
תְּלָתָא כַלִּידִין מְצָיְרִין בְּקַנְיָא חַד חַזּוּר וְשׁוֹשָׁן וּתְלָתָא כַלִּידִין מְצָיְרִין בְּקַנְיָא חַד חַזּוּר וְשׁוֹשָׁן כֵּן לְשִׁתָּא קְנִין דְּנָפְקִין מִן מְנָרְתָא׃
Three cups, engraved in almond shaped patterns, on one branch, with a knob and a flower. And three cups engraved in almond shaped patterns, on one branch, with a knob and a flower. So shall be [the form] of each of the six branches that extend from [the shaft of] the menorah.
- Exodus 25:34
וּבַמְּנֹרָה אַרְבָּעָה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים כַּפְתֹּרֶיהָ וּפְרָחֶיהָ׃
And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups shaped like almond-blossoms, each with calyx and petals:

וּבִמְנָרְתָא אַרְבְּעָא כַלִּידִין מְצָיְרִין חַזּוּרַהָא וְשׁוֹשַׁנַּהָא׃
The [shaft of the] menorah shall have four cups, engraved in almond shaped patterns, with their knobs and their flowers.
- Exodus 25:35
וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת־שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה לְשֵׁשֶׁת הַקָּנִים הַיֹּצְאִים מִן־הַמְּנֹרָה׃
a calyx, of one piece with it, under a pair of branches; and a calyx, of one piece with it, under the second pair of branches, and a calyx, of one piece with it, under the last pair of branches; so for all six branches issuing from the lampstand.
Targum Onkelos
וְחַזּוּר תְּחוֹת תְּרֵין קְנִין דְּמִנַּהּ וְחַזּוּר תְּחוֹת תְּרֵין קְנִין דְּמִנַּהּ וְחַזּוּר תְּחוֹת תְּרֵין קְנִין דְּמִנַּהּ לְשִׁתָּא קְנִין דְּנָפְקִין מִן מְנָרְתָא׃
[There shall be] a knob under the two branches extending from it. [There should be] a [second] knob under the [second] two branches extending from it. [There should be] a [third] knob under the [third] two branches extending from it. [This holds true] for the six branches that extend from [the shaft of] the menorah.
- Exodus 25:36
כַּפְתֹּרֵיהֶם וּקְנֹתָם מִמֶּנָּה יִהְיוּ כֻּלָּהּ מִקְשָׁה אַחַת זָהָב טָהוֹר׃
Their calyxes and their stems shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single hammered piece of pure gold.
Targum Onkelos
חַזּוּרֵיהוֹן וּקְנֵיהוֹן מִנַּהּ יְהוֹן כּוּלַּהּ נְגִידָא חֲדָא דִּדְהַב דְּכֵי׃
Their knobs and their branches shall be made out of [the menorah] itself. It shall all be made of a single hammered work of pure gold.
- Exodus 25:37
וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת־נֵרֹתֶיהָ שִׁבְעָה וְהֶעֱלָה אֶת־נֵרֹתֶיהָ וְהֵאִיר עַל־עֵבֶר פָּנֶיהָ׃
Make its seven lamps—the lamps shall be so mounted as to give the light on its front side—
Targum Onkelos
וְתַעֲבֵיד יָת בּוֹצִינַהָא שִׁבְעָא וְתַדְלֵיק יָת בּוֹצִינַהָא וִיהוֹן מְנָהֲרִין לָקֳבֵיל אַפַּהָא׃
You shall make seven lamps [for the menorah]. and its lamps shall be lit so that they shine toward it [the center lamp].
- Exodus 25:38
וּמַלְקָחֶיהָ וּמַחְתֹּתֶיהָ זָהָב טָהוֹר׃
and its tongs and fire pans of pure gold.
Targum Onkelos
וְצֵיבְתַהָא וּמַחְתְּיָתַהָא דִּדְהַב דְּכֵי׃
Its tongs and its [ash] scoops [shall also be made of] pure gold.
- Exodus 25:39
כִּכָּר זָהָב טָהוֹר יַעֲשֶׂה אֹתָהּ אֵת כׇּל־הַכֵּלִים הָאֵלֶּה׃
It shall be made, with all these furnishings, out of a talent of pure gold.
Targum Onkelos
כַּכְּרָא דְּדַהְבָּא דָּכְיָא יַעֲבֵיד יָתַהּ יָת כָּל מָנַיָּא הָאִלֵּין׃
It shall be made out of a kikar of pure gold [together] with all these vessels.
- Exodus 25:40
וּרְאֵה וַעֲשֵׂה בְּתַבְנִיתָם אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּה מׇרְאֶה בָּהָר׃
Note well, and follow the patterns for them that are being shown you on the mountain.
Targum Onkelos
וַחְזִי וַעֲבֵיד בִּדְמוּתְהוֹן דְּאַתְּ מִתַּחְזֵי בְּטוּרָא׃
Observe [carefully] and make them like the pattern that will be shown to you on the mountain.
