- Leviticus 20:8
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת־חֻקֹּתַי וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם אֲנִי יְהֹוָה מְקַדִּשְׁכֶם׃
You shall faithfully observe My laws: I GOD make you holy.
Targum Onkelos
וְתִטְּרוּן יָת קְיָמַי וְתַעְבְּדוּן יָתְהוֹן אֲנָא יְיָ מְקַדִּשְׁכוֹן׃
You must keep My statutes and do [observe] them. I am Adonoy who sanctifies you.
- Leviticus 20:9
כִּי־אִישׁ אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יְקַלֵּל אֶת־אָבִיו וְאֶת־אִמּוֹ מוֹת יוּמָת אָבִיו וְאִמּוֹ קִלֵּל דָּמָיו בּוֹ׃
Regarding anyone who insults their father or their mother: they shall be put to death; they have insulted their father and their mother—and the bloodguilt is theirs.
Targum Onkelos
אֲרֵי גְּבַר גְּבַר דִּילוּט יָת אֲבוּהִי וְיָת אִמֵּיהּ אִתְקְטָלָא יִתְקְטִיל אֲבוּהִי וְאִמֵּיהּ לָט קַטְלָא חַיָּיב׃
Any man that curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. [Since] he has cursed his father or mother, his blood is on him [he is liable to the death penalty].
- Leviticus 20:10
וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִנְאַף אֶת־אֵשֶׁת אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִנְאַף אֶת־אֵשֶׁת רֵעֵהוּ מוֹת־יוּמַת הַנֹּאֵף וְהַנֹּאָפֶת׃
If a man commits adultery with a married woman—committing adultery with another man’s wife—the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דִּיגוּף יָת אִתַּת גְּבַר דִּיגוּף יָת אִתַּת חַבְרֵיהּ אִתְקְטָלָא יִתְקְטִיל גַּיָּיפָא וְגַיָּיפְתָא׃
A man who commits adultery with another mans wife who commits adultery with the wife of his fellow man—they shall surely be put to death—the adulterer and the adulteress.

וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכַּב אֶת־אֵשֶׁת אָבִיו עֶרְוַת אָבִיו גִּלָּה מוֹת־יוּמְתוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם דְּמֵיהֶם בָּם׃
If a man lies with his father’s wife, it is the nakedness of his father that he has uncovered; the two shall be put to death—and the bloodguilt is theirs.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִשְׁכּוֹב יָת אִתַּת אֲבוּהִי עֶרְיְתָא דַּאֲבוּהִי גַּלִּי אִתְקְטָלָא יִתְקַטְלוּן תַּרְוֵיהוֹן קַטְלָא חַיָּיבִין׃
A man who will lie [conjugally] with his fathers wife has uncovered his fathers nakedness; they both shall surely be put to death, their blood is on them [they are liable to the death penalty].

וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכַּב אֶת־כַּלָּתוֹ מוֹת יוּמְתוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם תֶּבֶל עָשׂוּ דְּמֵיהֶם בָּם׃
If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall be put to death; they have committed incest—and the bloodguilt is theirs.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִשְׁכּוֹב יָת כַּלְּתֵיהּ אִתְקְטָלָא יִתְקַטְלוּן תַּרְוֵיהוֹן תָּבְלָא עֲבַדוּ קַטְלָא חַיָּיבִין׃
A man who will lie [conjugally] with his daughter-in-law; they both shall surely be put to death they have committed an act of perversion, their blood is on them [they are liable to the death penalty].
- Leviticus 20:13
וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכַּב אֶת־זָכָר מִשְׁכְּבֵי אִשָּׁה תּוֹעֵבָה עָשׂוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם מוֹת יוּמָתוּ דְּמֵיהֶם בָּם׃
If a man lies with a male as one lies with a woman, the two of them have done an abhorrent thing; they shall be put to death—and the bloodguilt is theirs.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִשְׁכּוֹב יָת דְּכוּרָא מִשְׁכְּבֵי אִתָּא תּוֹעֵיבָא עֲבַדוּ תַּרְוֵיהוֹן אִתְקְטָלָא יִתְקַטְלוּן קַטְלָא חַיָּיבִין׃
A man who will lie [conjugally] with [another] man, in the same manner as with a woman; they both have committed an abominable act, they shall surely be put to death, their blood is on them [they are liable to the death penalty].
- Leviticus 20:14
וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִקַּח אֶת־אִשָּׁה וְאֶת־אִמָּהּ זִמָּה הִוא בָּאֵשׁ יִשְׂרְפוּ אֹתוֹ וְאֶתְהֶן וְלֹא־תִהְיֶה זִמָּה בְּתוֹכְכֶם׃
If a man marries a woman and her mother, it is depravity; both he and they shall be put to the fire, that there be no depravity among you.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִסַּב יָת אִתְּתָא וְיָת אִמַּהּ עֵיצַת חֲטִאין הִיא בְּנוּרָא יוֹקְדוּן יָתֵיהּ וְיָתְהוֹן וְלָא תְהֵי עֵיצַת חֲטִאין בֵּינֵיכוֹן׃
A man who marries a woman and her mother; it is lewdness [a sinful plan]. They shall be burned in fire, he and [one of] them, and there will no longer be such lewdness [a sinful plan] among you.
- Leviticus 20:15
וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִתֵּן שְׁכׇבְתּוֹ בִּבְהֵמָה מוֹת יוּמָת וְאֶת־הַבְּהֵמָה תַּהֲרֹגוּ׃
If a man has carnal relations with an animal, he shall be put to death; and you shall kill the animal.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִתֵּין שְׁכוּבְתֵּיהּ בִּבְעִירָא אִתְקְטָלָא יִתְקְטִיל וְיָת בְּעִירָא תִּקְטְלוּן׃
A man who lies [conjugally] with an animal shall surely be put to death, and you shall also kill the animal.
- Leviticus 20:16
וְאִשָּׁה אֲשֶׁר תִּקְרַב אֶל־כׇּל־בְּהֵמָה לְרִבְעָהֿ אֹתָהּ וְהָרַגְתָּ אֶת־הָאִשָּׁה וְאֶת־הַבְּהֵמָה מוֹת יוּמָתוּ דְּמֵיהֶם בָּם׃
If a woman approaches any animal to mate with it, you shall kill the woman and the animal; they shall be put to death—and the bloodguilt is theirs.
Targum Onkelos
וְאִתְּתָא דְּתִקְרַב לְוָת כָּל בְּעִירָא לְמִשְׁלַט בַּהּ וְתִקְטוֹל יָת אִתְּתָא וְיָת בְּעִירָא אִתְקְטָלָא יִתְקַטְלוּן קַטְלָא חַיָּיבִין׃
A woman who presents herself to an animal causing it to copulate with her [control her]; you shall kill the woman and the animal. They shall surely be killed, their blood is on them [they are liable to the death penalty].
- Leviticus 20:17
וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יִקַּח אֶת־אֲחֹתוֹ בַּת־אָבִיו אוֹ בַת־אִמּוֹ וְרָאָה אֶת־עֶרְוָתָהּ וְהִיא־תִרְאֶה אֶת־עֶרְוָתוֹ חֶסֶד הוּא וְנִכְרְתוּ לְעֵינֵי בְּנֵי עַמָּם עֶרְוַת אֲחֹתוֹ גִּלָּה עֲוֺנוֹ יִשָּׂא׃
If a man marries his sister, the daughter of either his father or his mother, so that he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace; they shall be excommunicated in the sight of their kinsfolk. He has uncovered the nakedness of his sister, he shall bear the guilt.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִסַּב יָת אֲחָתֵיהּ בַּת אֲבוּהִי אוֹ בַת אִמֵּיהּ וְיִחְזֵי יָת עֶרְיְתַהּ וְהִיא תִחְזֵי יָת עֶרְיְתֵיהּ קְלָנָא הוּא וְיִשְׁתֵּיצוֹן לְעֵינֵי בְּנֵי עַמְּהוֹן עֶרְיַת אֲחָתֵיהּ גַּלִּי חוֹבֵיהּ יְקַבֵּיל׃
A man who marries his sister, either his fathers daughter or his mothers daughter, and he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness; it is a shameful perversion. They shall be cut off before their people he has uncovered the nakedness of his sister, he shall bear [the burden of] his iniquity.
- Leviticus 20:18
וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר־יִשְׁכַּב אֶת־אִשָּׁה דָּוָה וְגִלָּה אֶת־עֶרְוָתָהּ אֶת־מְקֹרָהּ הֶעֱרָה וְהִוא גִּלְּתָה אֶת־מְקוֹר דָּמֶיהָ וְנִכְרְתוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם מִקֶּרֶב עַמָּם׃
If a man lies with a woman during her menstrual condition and uncovers her nakedness, he has laid bare her flow and she has exposed her blood flow; both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִשְׁכּוֹב יָת אִתָּא טוּמְאָה וִיגַלֵּי יָת עֶרְיְתַהּ יָת קְלָנַהּ גַּלִּי וְהִיא תְּגַלֵּי יָת סוֹאֲבָת דְּמַהָא וְיִשְׁתֵּיצוֹן תַּרְוֵיהוֹן מִגּוֹ עַמְּהוֹן׃
A man who will lie [conjugally] with a menstruating [an impure] woman and uncover her nakedness and uncover her source [womb] [shameful perversion] and she has uncovered the source [impurity] of her blood; they shall both be cut off from among their people.
- Leviticus 20:19
וְעֶרְוַת אֲחוֹת אִמְּךָ וַאֲחוֹת אָבִיךָ לֹא תְגַלֵּה כִּי אֶת־שְׁאֵרוֹ הֶעֱרָה עֲוֺנָם יִשָּׂאוּ׃
You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for that is laying bare one’s own flesh; they shall bear the guilt.
Targum Onkelos
וְעֶרְיַת אֲחָת אִמָּךְ וַאֲחָת אֲבוּךְ לָא תְגַלֵּי אֲרֵי יָת קָרִיבְתֵיהּ גַּלִּי חוֹבְהוֹן יְקַבְּלוּן׃
The nakedness of your mothers sister and of your fathers sister, you shall not uncover, for the nakedness of his close kin he will have bared they shall bear [the burden of] their iniquity.
- Leviticus 20:20
וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכַּב אֶת־דֹּדָתוֹ עֶרְוַת דֹּדוֹ גִּלָּה חֶטְאָם יִשָּׂאוּ עֲרִירִים יָמֻתוּ׃
If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, it is his uncle’s nakedness that he has uncovered. They shall bear the guilt: they shall die childless.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִשְׁכּוֹב יָת אִתַּת אַחְבּוּהִי עֶרְיְתָא דְּאַחְבּוּהִי גַּלִּי חוֹבְהוֹן יְקַבְּלוּן דְּלָא וְלַד יְמוּתוּן׃
A man who will lie [conjugally] with his aunt [father’s brother’s wife] has uncovered the nakedness of his uncle [father’s brother] they will bear [the burden of] their sin and they will die without children.
- Leviticus 20:21
וְאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִקַּח אֶת־אֵשֶׁת אָחִיו נִדָּה הִוא עֶרְוַת אָחִיו גִּלָּה עֲרִירִים יִהְיוּ׃
If a man marries the wife of his brother, it is indecency. It is the nakedness of his brother that he has uncovered; they shall remain childless.
Targum Onkelos
וּגְבַר דְּיִסַּב יָת אִתַּת אֲחוּהִי מְרַחֲקָא הִיא עֶרְיְתָא דַּאֲחוּהִי גַּלִּי דְּלָא וְלַד יְהוֹן׃
A man who will marry his brothers wife who must be [conjugally] avoided [by him]; he has uncovered his brothers nakedness, they shall die without children.
- Leviticus 20:22
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת־כׇּל־חֻקֹּתַי וְאֶת־כׇּל־מִשְׁפָּטַי וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם וְלֹא־תָקִיא אֶתְכֶם הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מֵבִיא אֶתְכֶם שָׁמָּה לָשֶׁבֶת בָּהּ׃
You shall faithfully observe all My laws and all My regulations, lest the land to which I bring you to settle in spew you out.
Targum Onkelos
וְתִטְּרוּן יָת כָּל קְיָמַי וְיָת כָּל דִּינַי וְתַעְבְּדוּן יָתְהוֹן וְלָא תְרוֹקֵין יָתְכוֹן אַרְעָא דַּאֲנָא מַעֵיל יָתְכוֹן לְתַמָּן לְמִתַּב בַּהּ׃
You shall keep all of My statutes and all of My laws and do (observe) them [so that] you will not be expelled by the land to which I am bringing you there to reside therein.
