  1. Deuteronomy 33:27

The ancient God is a refuge, A support are the arms everlasting— Driving out the enemy before you By a command: Destroy!

    Targum Onkelos

As the dwelling of the eternal God [Whose word originally created the world], and beneath are the world’s strong-armed; He banished the enemy from your presence and said, ‘Destroy.’

  2. Deuteronomy 33:28

Thus Israel dwells in safety, Untroubled is Jacob’s abode, In a land of grain and wine, Under heavens dripping dew.

    Targum Onkelos

Yisroel lived securely, as individuals like [the blessing that] Yaakov [your forefather blessed] in a land of [producing] grain and wine; even its skies [above them] shall drip dew.

  3. Deuteronomy 33:29

O happy Israel! Who is like you, A people delivered by GOD, Your protecting Shield, your Sword triumphant! Your enemies shall come cringing before you, And you shall tread on their backs.

    Targum Onkelos

You are fortunate, Yisroel, who can compare to you—a people saved by [from before] Adonoy, the shield [might] of your aid and who [provides the victory of] the sword of your glory [from before Him comes the victory of your powerful]; and your enemies will prevaricate to you, while you tread on their high places [the necks of their kings].’’
