- Exodus 36:20
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַקְּרָשִׁים לַמִּשְׁכָּן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים עֹמְדִים׃
They made the planks for the Tabernacle of acacia wood, upright.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד יָת דַּפַּיָּא לְמַשְׁכְּנָא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין קָיְמִין׃
He made planks for the mishkon out of acacia wood; (these planks) stood upright (vertically).
- Exodus 36:21
עֶשֶׂר אַמֹּת אֹרֶךְ הַקָּרֶשׁ וְאַמָּה וַחֲצִי הָאַמָּה רֹחַב הַקֶּרֶשׁ הָאֶחָד׃
The length of each plank was ten cubits, the width of each plank a cubit and a half.
Targum Onkelos
עֲשַׂר אַמִּין אוּרְכָּא דְּדַפָּא וְאַמְּתָא וּפַלְגוּת אַמְּתָא פּוּתְיָא דְּדַפָּא חַד׃
Each plank was ten amohs long, and one and one half amohs was the width of each plank.

שְׁתֵּי יָדֹת לַקֶּרֶשׁ הָאֶחָד מְשֻׁלָּבֹת אַחַת אֶל־אֶחָת כֵּן עָשָׂה לְכֹל קַרְשֵׁי הַמִּשְׁכָּן׃
Each plank had two tenons, parallel to each other; they did the same with all the planks of the Tabernacle.
Targum Onkelos
תְּרֵין צִירִין לְדַפָּא חַד מְשׁוּלְּבִין חַד לָקֳבֵיל חַד כֵּן עֲבַד לְכֹל דַּפֵּי מַשְׁכְּנָא׃
Each plank had two (square) pegs, exactly parallel to each other. In this manner he made all the planks of the mishkon.

וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַקְּרָשִׁים לַמִּשְׁכָּן עֶשְׂרִים קְרָשִׁים לִפְאַת נֶגֶב תֵּימָנָה׃
Of the planks of the Tabernacle, they made twenty planks for the south side,
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד יָת דַּפַּיָּא לְמַשְׁכְּנָא עֶשְׂרִין דַּפִּין לְרוּחַ עֵיבַר דָּרוֹמָא׃
He made these planks for the mishkon, twenty planks for the southern side.

וְאַרְבָּעִים אַדְנֵי־כֶסֶף עָשָׂה תַּחַת עֶשְׂרִים הַקְּרָשִׁים שְׁנֵי אֲדָנִים תַּחַת־הַקֶּרֶשׁ הָאֶחָד לִשְׁתֵּי יְדֹתָיו וּשְׁנֵי אֲדָנִים תַּחַת־הַקֶּרֶשׁ הָאֶחָד לִשְׁתֵּי יְדֹתָיו׃
making forty silver sockets under the twenty planks, two sockets under one plank for its two tenons and two sockets under each following plank for its two tenons;

וְאַרְבְּעִין סָמְכִין דִּכְסַף עֲבַד תְּחוֹת עֶשְׂרִין דַּפִּין תְּרֵין סָמְכִין תְּחוֹת דַּפָּא חַד לִתְרֵין צִירוֹהִי וּתְרֵין סָמְכִין תְּחוֹת דַּפָּא חַד לִתְרֵין צִירוֹהִי׃
He made forty silver sockets, (and placed them) under the twenty planks. There were two sockets under one plank (one) for each of the two pegs, and two sockets under the other plank, (one) for each of the two pegs.

וּלְצֶלַע הַמִּשְׁכָּן הַשֵּׁנִית לִפְאַת צָפוֹן עָשָׂה עֶשְׂרִים קְרָשִׁים׃
and for the other side wall of the Tabernacle, the north side, twenty planks,

וְלִסְטַר מַשְׁכְּנָא תִּנְיָנָא לְרוּחַ צִפּוּנָא עֲבַד עֶשְׂרִין דַּפִּין׃
For the second wall of the mishkon, to the northern side, he made twenty planks.

(He made) their forty silver sockets, two sockets under each plank, two sockets under each plank.

And for the rear of the Tabernacle, to the west, they made six planks;

וְלִסְיָפֵי מַשְׁכְּנָא מַעְרְבָא עֲבַד שִׁתָּא דַּפִּין׃
For the western end of the mishkon he made six planks.

וּשְׁנֵי קְרָשִׁים עָשָׂה לִמְקֻצְעֹת הַמִּשְׁכָּן בַּיַּרְכָתָיִם׃
and they made two planks for the corners of the Tabernacle at the rear.
Targum Onkelos
וּתְרֵין דַּפִּין עֲבַד לְזָוְיָת מַשְׁכְּנָא בְּסוֹפְהוֹן׃
He made two planks for the corners of the mishkon at the rear side [their ends].

וְהָיוּ תוֹאֲמִם מִלְּמַטָּה וְיַחְדָּו יִהְיוּ תַמִּים אֶל־רֹאשׁוֹ אֶל־הַטַּבַּעַת הָאֶחָת כֵּן עָשָׂה לִשְׁנֵיהֶם לִשְׁנֵי הַמִּקְצֹעֹת׃
They matched at the bottom, but terminated as one at the top into one ring; they did so with both of them at the two corners.
Targum Onkelos
וַהֲווֹ מַכְוְנִין מִלְּרַע וְכַחְדָּא הֲווֹ מַכְוְנִין בְּרֵישֵׁיהוֹן בְּעִזְקְתָא חַדָא כֵּן עֲבַד לְתַרְוֵיהוֹן לְתַרְתֵּין זָוְיָן׃
They were coupled together on the bottom, and they were coupled together evenly on the top with one (square) ring. In this manner he made the two (planks) which were at the two corners.

וְהָיוּ שְׁמֹנָה קְרָשִׁים וְאַדְנֵיהֶם כֶּסֶף שִׁשָּׁה עָשָׂר אֲדָנִים שְׁנֵי אֲדָנִים שְׁנֵי אֲדָנִים תַּחַת הַקֶּרֶשׁ הָאֶחָד׃
Thus there were eight planks with their sockets of silver: sixteen sockets, two under each plank.
Targum Onkelos
וַהֲווֹ תְּמָנְיָא דַּפִּין וְסָמְכֵיהוֹן דִּכְסַף שִׁתַּת עֲשַׂר סָמְכִין תְּרֵין סָמְכִין תְּרֵין סָמְכִין תְּחוֹת דַּפָּא חַד׃
There were eight planks, and their silver sockets, totaling sixteen sockets, two sockets, two sockets under each plank.

וַיַּעַשׂ בְּרִיחֵי עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים חֲמִשָּׁה לְקַרְשֵׁי צֶלַע־הַמִּשְׁכָּן הָאֶחָת׃
They made bars of acacia wood, five for the planks of the one side wall of the Tabernacle,

He made bars out of acacia wood, five for the planks of one wall,

five bars for the planks of the other side wall of the Tabernacle, and five bars for the planks of the wall of the Tabernacle at the rear, to the west;

וְחַמְשָׁא עָבְרִין לְדַפֵּי סְטַר מַשְׁכְּנָא תִּנְיָנָא וְחַמְשָׁא עָבְרִין לְדַפֵּי מַשְׁכְּנָא לְסוֹפְהוֹן מַעְרְבָא׃
and five bars for the planks of the second wall of the mishkon, and five bars for the planks of the western (back) wall of the mishkon.

וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַבְּרִיחַ הַתִּיכֹן לִבְרֹחַ בְּתוֹךְ הַקְּרָשִׁים מִן־הַקָּצֶה אֶל־הַקָּצֶה׃
they made the center bar to run, halfway up the planks, from end to end.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד יָת עָבְרָא מְצִיעָאָה לְאַעְבָּרָא בְּגוֹ דַּפַּיָּא מִן סְיָפֵי לִסְיָפֵי׃
He made the middle (center) bar to go through the planks, [reinforcing the planks] from one end to the other.
- Exodus 36:34
וְאֶת־הַקְּרָשִׁים צִפָּה זָהָב וְאֶת־טַבְּעֹתָם עָשָׂה זָהָב בָּתִּים לַבְּרִיחִם וַיְצַף אֶת־הַבְּרִיחִם זָהָב׃
They overlaid the planks with gold, and made their rings of gold, as holders for the bars; and they overlaid the bars with gold.
Targum Onkelos
וְיָת דַּפַּיָּא חֲפָא דַּהְבָּא וְיָת עִזְקָתְהוֹן עֲבַד דַּהְבָּא אַתְרָא לְעָבְרַיָּא וַחֲפָא יָת עָבְרַיָּא דַּהְבָּא׃
He overlaid the planks with gold, and made their rings out of gold to hold the bars. He (also) overlaid the bars with gold.

וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַפָּרֹכֶת תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מׇשְׁזָר מַעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב עָשָׂה אֹתָהּ כְּרֻבִים׃
They made the curtain of blue, purple, and crimson yarns, and fine twisted linen, working into it a design of cherubim.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד יָת פָּרוּכְתָּא דְּתַכְלָא וְאַרְגְּוָנָא וּצְבַע זְהוֹרִי וּבוּץ שְׁזִיר עוֹבָד אוּמָּן עֲבַד יָתַהּ צוּרַת כְּרוּבִין׃
He made the paroches (partition) out of greenish blue wool, dark red wool, crimson [colored] wool, and fine, twined linen, the work of a craftsman, with figures of Cherubim (woven into it).

וַיַּעַשׂ לָהּ אַרְבָּעָה עַמּוּדֵי שִׁטִּים וַיְצַפֵּם זָהָב וָוֵיהֶם זָהָב וַיִּצֹק לָהֶם אַרְבָּעָה אַדְנֵי־כָסֶף׃
They made for it four posts of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, with their hooks of gold; and they cast for them four silver sockets.

וַעֲבַד לַהּ אַרְבְּעָא עַמּוּדֵי שִׁטִּין וַחֲפָנוּן דַּהְבָּא וָוֵיהוֹן דַּהְבָּא וְאַתֵּיךְ לְהוֹן אַרְבְּעָא סָמְכִין דִּכְסַף׃
He made for it (the paroches) four acacia-wood pillars and he overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were also of gold. He cast for them four silver sockets.

וַיַּעַשׂ מָסָךְ לְפֶתַח הָאֹהֶל תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מׇשְׁזָר מַעֲשֵׂה רֹקֵם׃
They made the screen for the entrance of the Tent, of blue, purple, and crimson yarns, and fine twisted linen, done in embroidery;

וַעֲבַד פְּרָסָא לִתְרַע מַשְׁכְּנָא דְּתַכְלָא וְאַרְגְּוָנָא וּצְבַע זְהוֹרִי וּבוּץ שְׁזִיר עוֹבָד צַיָּיר׃
He made a screen for the entrance of the tent, of greenish blue wool, dark red wool, crimson [colored] wool, and fine twined linen. It was the work of an embroiderer.

וְאֶת־עַמּוּדָיו חֲמִשָּׁה וְאֶת־וָוֵיהֶם וְצִפָּה רָאשֵׁיהֶם וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶם זָהָב וְאַדְנֵיהֶם חֲמִשָּׁה נְחֹשֶׁת׃
and five posts for it with their hooks. They overlaid their tops and their bands with gold; but the five sockets were of copper.

וְיָת עַמּוּדוֹהִי חַמְשָׁא וְיָת וָוֵיהוֹן וְחַפִּי רֵישֵׁיהוֹן וְכִבּוּשֵׁיהוֹן דַּהְבָּא וְסָמְכֵיהוֹן חַמְשָׁא דִּנְחָשָׁא׃
(He made) five pillars (to hold the screen), along with their hooks and he overlaid their caps and bands with gold. Their five sockets (he made of) copper.

וַיַּעַשׂ בְּצַלְאֵל אֶת־הָאָרֹן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים אַמָּתַיִם וָחֵצִי אׇרְכּוֹ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי רׇחְבּוֹ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי קֹמָתוֹ׃
Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד בְּצַלְאֵל יָת אֲרוֹנָא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין תַּרְתֵּין אַמִּין וּפַלְגָּא אוּרְכֵּיהּ וְאַמְּתָא וּפַלְגָּא פּוּתְיֵיהּ וְאַמְּתָא וּפַלְגָּא רוּמֵיהּ׃
Betzalel made the ark of acacia wood, two and one-half amohs long, one and one-half amohs wide, and one and one-half amohs high.

וַיְצַפֵּהוּ זָהָב טָהוֹר מִבַּיִת וּמִחוּץ וַיַּעַשׂ לוֹ זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב׃
He overlaid it with pure gold, inside and out; and he made a gold molding for it round about.
Targum Onkelos
וַחֲפָהִי דְּהַב דְּכֵי מִגָּיו וּמִבַּרָא וַעֲבַד לֵיהּ זִיר דִּדְהַב סְחוֹר סְחוֹר׃
He covered it with pure gold from inside and out. He made for it a golden crown-like rim around (its top).
- Exodus 37:3
וַיִּצֹק לוֹ אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב עַל אַרְבַּע פַּעֲמֹתָיו וּשְׁתֵּי טַבָּעֹת עַל־צַלְעוֹ הָאֶחָת וּשְׁתֵּי טַבָּעֹת עַל־צַלְעוֹ הַשֵּׁנִית׃
He cast four gold rings for it, for its four feet: two rings on one of its side walls and two rings on the other.
Targum Onkelos
וְאַתֵּיךְ לֵיהּ אַרְבַּע עִזְקָן דִּדְהַב עַל אַרְבַּע זָוְיָתֵיהּ וְתַרְתֵּין עִזְקָן עַל סִטְרֵיהּ חַד וְתַרְתֵּין עִזְקָן עַל סִטְרֵיהּ תִּנְיָנָא׃
He cast four gold rings on its (the ark’s) four corners, two rings on one side and two rings on the other side.

וַיַּעַשׂ בַּדֵּי עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וַיְצַף אֹתָם זָהָב׃
He made poles of acacia wood, overlaid them with gold,
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד אֲרִיחֵי דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין וַחֲפָא יָתְהוֹן דַּהְבָּא׃
He made two poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.
- Exodus 37:5
וַיָּבֵא אֶת־הַבַּדִּים בַּטַּבָּעֹת עַל צַלְעֹת הָאָרֹן לָשֵׂאת אֶת־הָאָרֹן׃
and inserted the poles into the rings on the side walls of the ark for carrying the ark.
Targum Onkelos
וְאַעֵיל יָת אֲרִיחַיָּא בְּעִזְקָתָא עַל סִטְרֵי אֲרוֹנָא לְמִטַּל יָת אֲרוֹנָא׃
He placed the poles in the rings on the sides of the ark, so that the ark can be carried with them.
- Exodus 37:6
וַיַּעַשׂ כַּפֹּרֶת זָהָב טָהוֹר אַמָּתַיִם וָחֵצִי אׇרְכָּהּ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי רׇחְבָּהּ׃
He made a cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד כָּפוּרְתָּא דִּדְהַב דְּכֵי תַּרְתֵּין אַמִּין וּפַלְגָּא אוּרְכַּהּ וְאַמְּתָא וּפַלְגָּא פוּתְיַהּ׃
He made a cover (for the ark) of pure gold, two and one-half amohs long, and one and one-half amohs wide.
- Exodus 37:7
וַיַּעַשׂ שְׁנֵי כְרֻבִים זָהָב מִקְשָׁה עָשָׂה אֹתָם מִשְּׁנֵי קְצוֹת הַכַּפֹּרֶת׃
He made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work, at the two ends of the cover:
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד תְּרֵין כְּרוּבִין דִּדְהַב נְגִיד עֲבַד יָתְהוֹן מִתְּרֵין סִטְרֵי כָּפוּרְתָּא׃
He made two golden Cherubim. He hammered them out of the two ends of the (ark) cover.
- Exodus 37:8
כְּרוּב־אֶחָד מִקָּצָה מִזֶּה וּכְרוּב־אֶחָד מִקָּצָה מִזֶּה מִן־הַכַּפֹּרֶת עָשָׂה אֶת־הַכְּרֻבִים מִשְּׁנֵי (קצוותו) [קְצוֹתָיו]׃
one cherub at one end and the other cherub at the other end; he made the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at its two ends.
Targum Onkelos
כְּרוּבָא חַד מִסִּטְרָא מִכָּא וּכְרוּבָא חַד מִסִּטְרָא מִכָּא מִן כָּפוּרְתָּא עֲבַד יָת כְּרוּבַיָּא מִתְּרֵין סִטְרוֹהִי׃
One Cherub out of one end [side], and one Cherub out of the other end [side]. From the (same piece of gold as the) cover itself, he made the Cherubim on its two ends [sides].
- Exodus 37:9
וַיִּהְיוּ הַכְּרֻבִים פֹּרְשֵׂי כְנָפַיִם לְמַעְלָה סֹכְכִים בְּכַנְפֵיהֶם עַל־הַכַּפֹּרֶת וּפְנֵיהֶם אִישׁ אֶל־אָחִיו אֶל־הַכַּפֹּרֶת הָיוּ פְּנֵי הַכְּרֻבִים׃
The cherubim had their wings spread out above, shielding the cover with their wings. They faced each other; the faces of the cherubim were turned toward the cover.
Targum Onkelos
וַהֲווֹ כְּרוּבַיָּא פְּרִיסִין גַּדְפֵּיהוֹן לְעֵילָא מְטַלַּן בְּגַדְפֵּיהוֹן עַל כָּפוּרְתָּא וְאַפֵּיהוֹן חַד לָקֳבֵיל חַד לָקֳבֵיל כָּפוּרְתָּא הֲווֹ אַפֵּי כְּרוּבַיָּא׃
The Cherubim had their wings spread upward, sheltering the cover with their wings, and they faced one another, the Cherubim’s faces were (inclined) toward the cover.

וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים אַמָּתַיִם אׇרְכּוֹ וְאַמָּה רׇחְבּוֹ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי קֹמָתוֹ׃
He made the table of acacia wood, two cubits long, one cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high;

וַעֲבַד יָת פָּתוּרָא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין תַּרְתֵּין אַמִּין אוּרְכֵּיהּ וְאַמְּתָא פוּתְיֵיהּ וְאַמְּתָא וּפַלְגָּא רוּמֵיהּ׃
He made a table out of acacia wood, two amohs long, one amoh wide, and one and one-half amohs high.

וַיְצַף אֹתוֹ זָהָב טָהוֹר וַיַּעַשׂ לוֹ זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב׃
he overlaid it with pure gold and made a gold molding around it.
Targum Onkelos
וַחֲפָא יָתֵיהּ דְּהַב דְּכֵי וַעֲבַד לֵיהּ זִיר דִּדְהַב סְחוֹר סְחוֹר׃
He overlaid it with pure gold, and he made a crown-like rim around it.
- Exodus 37:12
וַיַּעַשׂ לוֹ מִסְגֶּרֶת טֹפַח סָבִיב וַיַּעַשׂ זֵר־זָהָב לְמִסְגַּרְתּוֹ סָבִיב׃
He made a rim of a hand’s breadth around it and made a gold molding for its rim round about.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד לֵיהּ גְּדָנְפָא רוּמֵיהּ פּוּשְׁכָּא סְחוֹר סְחוֹר וַעֲבַד זִיר דִּדְהַב לִגְדָנְפֵיהּ סְחוֹר סְחוֹר׃
He made a ledge of a tefach [high] around (the table), and he made a gold crown-like rim around the ledge.
- Exodus 37:13
וַיִּצֹק לוֹ אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־הַטַּבָּעֹת עַל אַרְבַּע הַפֵּאֹת אֲשֶׁר לְאַרְבַּע רַגְלָיו׃
He cast four gold rings for it and attached the rings to the four corners at its four legs.
Targum Onkelos
וְאַתֵּיךְ לֵיהּ אַרְבַּע עִזְקָן דִּדְהַב וִיהַב יָת עִזְקָתָא עַל אַרְבַּע זָוְיָתָא דִּלְאַרְבַּע רַגְלוֹהִי׃
He cast for it (the table) four gold rings, and placed the rings on the four corners that are on its four legs.
- Exodus 37:14
לְעֻמַּת הַמִּסְגֶּרֶת הָיוּ הַטַּבָּעֹת בָּתִּים לַבַּדִּים לָשֵׂאת אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן׃
The rings were next to the rim, as holders for the poles to carry the table.
Targum Onkelos
לָקֳבֵיל גְּדָנְפָא הֲוַאָה עִזְקָתָא אַתְרָא לַאֲרִיחַיָּא לְמִטַּל יָת פָּתוּרָא׃
The rings were against the ledge as houses (receptacles) for the poles with which to carry the table.
- Exodus 37:15
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַבַּדִּים עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וַיְצַף אֹתָם זָהָב לָשֵׂאת אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן׃
He made the poles of acacia wood for carrying the table, and overlaid them with gold.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד יָת אֲרִיחַיָּא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין וַחֲפָא יָתְהוֹן דַּהְבָּא לְמִטַּל יָת פָּתוּרָא׃
He made the poles out of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold with which to carry the table.

וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַכֵּלִים ׀ אֲשֶׁר עַל־הַשֻּׁלְחָן אֶת־קְעָרֹתָיו וְאֶת־כַּפֹּתָיו וְאֵת מְנַקִּיֹּתָיו וְאֶת־הַקְּשָׂוֺת אֲשֶׁר יֻסַּךְ בָּהֵן זָהָב טָהוֹר׃
The utensils that were to be upon the table—its bowls, ladles, jugs, and jars with which to offer libations—he made of pure gold.
Targum Onkelos
וַעֲבַד יָת מָנַיָּא דְּעַל פָּתוּרָא יָת מְגִסּוֹהִי וְיָת בָּזִכּוֹהִי וְיָת מְכִילָתֵיהּ וְיָת קָסְוָתָא דְּיִתְנַסַּךְ בְּהוֹן דִּדְהַב דְּכֵי׃
He made the vessels that were on the table, its dishes (bread shapes), its spoons (incense bowls), its supports, and its half-hollow tubes by which they (the breads) are covered, out of pure gold.
