  1. Leviticus 13:24

When one’s skin sustains a burn by fire, and the patch from the burn is a discoloration, either white streaked with red, or white,

    Targum Onkelos

When a person has on his skin a burn from a fire and [on] the healthy flesh [impression] of the burnt part, came a snow-white spot tinged with red or pure white spot.

  2. Leviticus 13:25

the priest shall examine it. If some hair has turned white in the discoloration, which itself appears to go deeper than the skin, it is leprosy that has broken out in the burn. The priest shall pronounce the person impure; it is a leprous affection.

    Targum Onkelos

The kohein shall see it and behold! the hair has turned white in the snow-white spot and its appearance is deeper than the skin; it is tzoraas [‘confinement’] that has sprouted in the burn. The kohein shall declare him unclean, it is the skin-eruption of tzoraas. [‘confinement’]

  3. Leviticus 13:26

But if the priest finds that there is no white hair in the discoloration, and that it is not lower than the rest of the skin, and it is faded, the priest shall isolate them for seven days.

    Targum Onkelos

If the kohein shall see it, and behold! there is not, in the snow-white spot, any white hair and it is not lower than the skin, and it is faint. The kohein shall confine him for seven days.

  4. Leviticus 13:27

On the seventh day the priest shall conduct an examination: if it has spread in the skin, the priest shall pronounce them impure; it is a leprous affection.

    Targum Onkelos

The kohein shall see him on the seventh day. If it has spread [increased] in the skin, the kohein shall declare him unclean, it is the skin-eruption of tzoraas. [‘confinement’]

  5. Leviticus 13:28

But if the discoloration has remained stationary, not having spread on the skin, and it is faded, it is the swelling from the burn. The priest shall pronounce them pure, for it is the scar of the burn.

    Targum Onkelos

If the snow-white spot remains in its place and it did not spread [increase] in the skin and it is faint, it is the [deep] white spot of the burn. The kohein shall declare him clean for it is [merely] the scar [impression] of the burn.
