- Deuteronomy 30:1
וְהָיָה כִי־יָבֹאוּ עָלֶיךָ כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה הַבְּרָכָה וְהַקְּלָלָה אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לְפָנֶיךָ וַהֲשֵׁבֹתָ אֶל־לְבָבֶךָ בְּכׇל־הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר הִדִּיחֲךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ שָׁמָּה׃
When all these things befall you—the blessing and the curse that I have set before you—and you take them to heart amidst the various nations to which the ETERNAL your God has banished you,
Targum Onkelos
וִיהֵי אֲרֵי יֵיתוֹן עֲלָךְ כָּל פִּתְגָמַיָּא הָאִלֵּין בִּרְכָן וּלְוָטִין דִּיהַבִית קֳדָמָךְ וְתָתִיב לְלִבָּךְ בְּכָל עַמְמַיָּא דְּאַגְלְיָךְ יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לְתַמָּן׃
When it happens that there come upon you all these statements, the blessing and the curse that I have set before you; and you will restore to your perception amid all the nations where Adonoy, your God, has exiled you.
- Deuteronomy 30:2
וְשַׁבְתָּ עַד־יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְשָׁמַעְתָּ בְקֹלוֹ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם אַתָּה וּבָנֶיךָ בְּכׇל־לְבָבְךָ וּבְכׇל־נַפְשֶׁךָ׃
and you return to the ETERNAL your God, and you and your children heed God’s command with all your heart and soul, just as I enjoin upon you this day,
Targum Onkelos
וּתְתוּב לְדַחְלְתָא דַּייָ אֱלָהָךְ וּתְקַבֵּיל לְמֵימְרֵיהּ כְּכֹל דַּאֲנָא מְפַקֵּיד לָךְ יוֹמָא דֵין אַתְּ וּבְנָךְ בְּכָל לִבָּךְ וּבְכָל נַפְשָׁךְ׃
You will return to [the fear of] Adonoy, your God, and obey Him [accept His word] exactly as I am commanding you today, you and your sons, wholeheartedly and with your whole being.
- Deuteronomy 30:3
וְשָׁב יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת־שְׁבוּתְךָ וְרִחֲמֶךָ וְשָׁב וְקִבֶּצְךָ מִכׇּל־הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר הֱפִיצְךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ שָׁמָּה׃
then the ETERNAL your God will restore your fortunes and take you back in love. You will be brought together again from all the peoples where the ETERNAL your God has scattered you.
Targum Onkelos
וְיָתִיב יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ יָת גָּלְוָתָךְ וִירַחֵים עֲלָךְ וִיתוּב וְיִכְנְשִׁנָּךְ מִכָּל עַמְמַיָּא דְּבַדְּרָךְ יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לְתַמָּן׃
Adonoy, your God, will bring back your returnees [of your exile] and will be merciful toward you; and He will return and gather you from all the peoples that Adonoy, your God, has dispersed you there.
- Deuteronomy 30:4
אִם־יִהְיֶה נִדַּחֲךָ בִּקְצֵה הַשָּׁמָיִם מִשָּׁם יְקַבֶּצְךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וּמִשָּׁם יִקָּחֶךָ׃
Even if your outcasts are at the ends of the world, from there the ETERNAL your God will gather you—from there you will be fetched.
Targum Onkelos
אִם יִהְוְיָן גָּלְוָתָךְ בִּסְיָפֵי שְׁמַיָּא מִתַּמָּן יִכְנְשִׁנָּךְ יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ וּמִתַּמָּן יְקָרְבִנָּךְ׃
If your exiled one will be at the edge of the heavens, from there will Adonoy, your God, gather you and from there will He take you [bring you near].
- Deuteronomy 30:5
וֶהֱבִיאֲךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר־יָרְשׁוּ אֲבֹתֶיךָ וִירִשְׁתָּהּ וְהֵיטִבְךָ וְהִרְבְּךָ מֵאֲבֹתֶיךָ׃
And the ETERNAL your God will bring you to the land that your ancestors possessed, and you shall possess it; and you will be made more prosperous and more numerous than your ancestors.
Targum Onkelos
וְיַעֵילִנָּךְ יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לְאַרְעָא דִּירִיתוּ אֲבָהָתָךְ וְתֵירְתַהּ וְיוֹטֵיב לָךְ וְיַסְגֵּינָךְ מֵאֲבָהָתָךְ׃
And Adonoy, your God, will bring you to the land that your forefathers inherited and you will inherit it; and He will benefit you and multiply you more than your forefathers.
- Deuteronomy 30:6
וּמָל יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת־לְבָבְךָ וְאֶת־לְבַב זַרְעֶךָ לְאַהֲבָה אֶת־יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכׇל־לְבָבְךָ וּבְכׇל־נַפְשְׁךָ לְמַעַן חַיֶּיךָ׃
Then the ETERNAL your God will open up your heart and the hearts of your offspring—to love the ETERNAL your God with all your heart and soul, in order that you may live.
Targum Onkelos
וְיַעְדֵּי יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ יָת טַפְשׁוּת לִבָּךְ וְיָת טַפְשׁוּת לִבָּא דִּבְנָךְ לְמִרְחַם יָת יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ בְּכָל לִבָּךְ וּבְכָל נַפְשָׁךְ בְּדִיל חַיָּיךְ׃
And Adonoy, your God, will circumcise [remove the foolishness from] your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love Adonoy, your God, wholeheartedly and with all your being in order that you live.
