- Genesis 4:19
וַיִּקַּח־לוֹ לֶמֶךְ שְׁתֵּי נָשִׁים שֵׁם הָאַחַת עָדָה וְשֵׁם הַשֵּׁנִית צִלָּה׃
Lamech took to himself two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other was Zillah.
Targum Onkelos
וּנְסֵיב לֵיהּ לֶמֶךְ תַּרְתֵּין נְשִׁין שׁוֹם חֲדָא עָדָה וְשׁוֹם תִּנְיֵיתָא צִלָּה׃
Lemech married two women, the first was named Adah, and the name of the second was Tzillah.
- Genesis 4:20
וַתֵּלֶד עָדָה אֶת־יָבָל הוּא הָיָה אֲבִי יֹשֵׁב אֹהֶל וּמִקְנֶה׃
Adah bore Jabal; he was the ancestor of those who dwell in tents and amidst herds.
Targum Onkelos
וִילֵידַת עָדָה יָת יָבָל הוּא הֲוָה רִבְּהוֹן דְּיָתְבֵי מַשְׁכְּנִין וּמָרֵי בְּעִיר׃
Adah gave birth to Yaval. He was the father [master] of those who live in tents, and breed cattle.
- Genesis 4:21
וְשֵׁם אָחִיו יוּבָל הוּא הָיָה אֲבִי כׇּל־תֹּפֵשׂ כִּנּוֹר וְעוּגָב׃
And the name of his brother was Jubal; he was the ancestor of all who play the lyre and the pipe.
Targum Onkelos
וְשׁוֹם אֲחוּהִי יוּבָל הוּא הֲוָה רִבְּהוֹן דְּכָל דִּמְנַגַּן עַל פּוֹם נִבְלָא יָדְעֵי זְמָר כִּנָּרָא וַאֲבוּבָא׃
His brother’s name was Yuval. He was the father [master] of all who handle [play] the harp and [who know the song of the lute and the] flute.
- Genesis 4:22
וְצִלָּה גַם־הִוא יָלְדָה אֶת־תּוּבַל קַיִן לֹטֵשׁ כׇּל־חֹרֵשׁ נְחֹשֶׁת וּבַרְזֶל וַאֲחוֹת תּוּבַל־קַיִן נַעֲמָה׃
As for Zillah, she bore Tubal-cain, who forged all implements of copper and iron. And the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.
Targum Onkelos
וְצִלָּה אַף הִיא יְלֵידַת יָת תּוּבַל קַיִן הוּא הֲוָה רִבְּהוֹן דְּכָל דְּיָדְעֵי עֲבִידַת נְחָשָׁא וּבַרְזְלָא וַאֲחָתֵיהּ דְּתוּבַל קַיִן נַעֲמָה׃
Tzillah also gave birth to Tuval Kayin, who sharpened everything which cuts copper and iron [who was the master of all who know the craft of copper and iron]. The sister of Tuval Kayin was Naamah.
