- Deuteronomy 26:16
הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ מְצַוְּךָ לַעֲשׂוֹת אֶת־הַחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה וְאֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים וְשָׁמַרְתָּ וְעָשִׂיתָ אוֹתָם בְּכׇל־לְבָבְךָ וּבְכׇל־נַפְשֶׁךָ׃
The ETERNAL your God commands you this day to observe these laws and rules; observe them faithfully with all your heart and soul.
Targum Onkelos
יוֹמָא הָדֵין יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ מְפַקְּדָךְ לְמֶעֱבַד יָת קְיָמַיָּא הָאִלֵּין וְיָת דִּינַיָּא וְתִטַּר וְתַעֲבֵיד יָתְהוֹן בְּכָל לִבָּךְ וּבְכָל נַפְשָׁךְ׃
This very day, Adonoy, your God, commands you to perform these statutes and the laws; you shall observe and perform them wholeheartedly and with your whole being.
- Deuteronomy 26:17
אֶת־יְהֹוָה הֶאֱמַרְתָּ הַיּוֹם לִהְיוֹת לְךָ לֵאלֹהִים וְלָלֶכֶת בִּדְרָכָיו וְלִשְׁמֹר חֻקָּיו וּמִצְוֺתָיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וְלִשְׁמֹעַ בְּקֹלוֹ׃
You have affirmed this day that the ETERNAL is your God—in whose ways you will walk, whose laws and commandments and rules you will observe, and whom you will obey.
Targum Onkelos
יָת יְיָ חֲטַבְתְּ יוֹמָא דֵין לְמִהְוֵי לָךְ לֶאֱלָהּ וְלִמְהָךְ בְּאוֹרְחָן דְּתָקְנָן קֳדָמוֹהִי וּלְמִטַּר קְיָמוֹהִי וּפִקּוֹדוֹהִי וְדִינוֹהִי וּלְקַבָּלָא לְמֵימְרֵיהּ׃
Adonoy, you have distinguised today to be a God for you and to go in His ways [which are proper before Him] and to guard His statutes and His commandments and His laws, and to obey Him [accept His word].
- Deuteronomy 26:18
וַיהֹוָה הֶאֱמִירְךָ הַיּוֹם לִהְיוֹת לוֹ לְעַם סְגֻלָּה כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר־לָךְ וְלִשְׁמֹר כׇּל־מִצְוֺתָיו׃
And GOD has affirmed this day that you are, as promised, God’s treasured people who shall observe all the commandments,
Targum Onkelos
וַייָ חַטְבָךְ יוֹמָא דֵין לְמִהְוֵי לֵיהּ לְעַם חַבִּיב כְּמָא דְּמַלֵּיל לָךְ וּלְמִטַּר כָּל פִּקּוֹדוֹהִי׃
And Adonoy has distinguished you today to be for Him a treasured people as He said to you, and to guard all His commandments.
- Deuteronomy 26:19
וּלְתִתְּךָ עֶלְיוֹן עַל כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לִתְהִלָּה וּלְשֵׁם וּלְתִפְאָרֶת וְלִהְיֹתְךָ עַם־קָדֹשׁ לַיהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֵּר׃
and that you will be set in fame and renown and glory, high above all the nations that [God] has made; and that you shall be, as promised, a holy people to the ETERNAL your God.
Targum Onkelos
וּלְמִתְּנָךְ עִלַּאי עַל כָּל עַמְמַיָּא דַּעֲבַד לְתוּשְׁבְּחָא וּלְשׁוֹם וְלִרְבוּ וּלְמִהְוָךְ עַם קַדִּישׁ קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ כְּמָא דְּמַלֵּיל׃
And to place you superior to all the nations whom He made, for praise and for renown and for glory, and so that you may be a people sanctified to [before] Adonoy, your God, as He said.
